Sofya bas Peysia (Margolina) was born on May 5th, 1920 in Moscow, Russia. Her lineage goes to a very prominent Chabad dynasty of Schneersons, because her grandmother, Rachel Schneerson, was closely related to then Lubavitcher Rebbe (1890's). The family lived in Liady and later moved to Chechersk where Sofya's father, Iosef Margolin, was born. In 1920 the family moved to Moscow and lived there until immigration to the United States in 1989. Sofya bas Peysia was a heavenly jewish mother. Her kind smile and loyalty to the family and friends will be always in our hearts. She went to Gan Eden on November 9th, 2000. This website is donated by her son in her loving memory. May Hashem ascend her soul in Gan Eden. |
